What is laughter therapy? Basics • method, not comedy
Laughter therapy is a structured practice that uses playful breathing, gentle movement, and intentional laughter to support mood and stress regulation. It is not about jokes; it’s about activating the body’s laughter response in a safe and guided way.
Is it science-based? Evidence • practical and careful
Research on laughter, breathwork, and social connection suggests benefits for perceived stress, affect, and group cohesion. We avoid medical claims: courses are educational and wellness-focused. You’ll get citations and a reading list in your materials.
How do online sessions work? Online • camera optional
Live online sessions are interactive: you’ll be guided through warmups, breath and laughter exercises, and a calm closing. You can participate with camera on or off. We share audio-friendly cues and offer a low-stimulation option for participants who prefer it.
What should I bring or prepare? Comfort • water • gentle pace
Wear comfortable clothing, bring water, and set up a little space to move your arms freely. If you’re joining online, headphones can help. We recommend you start gently and stop anytime you feel dizzy or overwhelmed.
Is it safe for everyone? Safety • intensity options
Most people can participate comfortably, but laughter and breathwork can be intense. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have recent surgery, consult a clinician before joining. In sessions you can always choose a lower-intensity version (smiling, humming, seated movement).
How long are courses? Formats • single session to multi‑week
Typical course options include 60–90 minute single sessions, 4-week foundations, and 8-week practice labs. If you’re booking a team session, we’ll recommend a duration based on group size and goals.
What is facilitator training? Training • lead with confidence
Facilitator training teaches you to lead sessions: cueing, pacing, group safety, inclusive language, and adapting exercises for different needs. You’ll practice leading, receive feedback, and leave with a session plan template you can reuse.
Do I get a certificate? Certification • completion + ethics
You’ll receive a completion certificate after attending required hours and completing the practice check-in. It’s a course certificate (not a medical license). We also provide a facilitator profile kit and guidance on ethical marketing language.
Can I use this with clients or patients? Scope • ethical integration
Many facilitators integrate laughter-based practices into wellness or coaching contexts. If you work in healthcare, follow your scope-of-practice rules and facility policies. We teach adaptations and language that keeps sessions wellness-oriented and non-diagnostic.
What does a corporate session look like? Corporate • inclusive, non‑performative
Corporate sessions are goal-driven and respectful: a short intro, a sequence of low-barrier exercises (seated options included), and a calm close. We can integrate themes like resilience, teamwork, and stress resets without making anyone ‘perform’ on camera.
How is corporate pricing calculated? Corporate • quote based on scope
Pricing depends on group size, session length, customization level, and whether you need multiple time zones. We can provide a fixed quote after you share your goals, expected attendance, and preferred format (in-person or online).
What accessibility options do you offer? Accessibility • seated & sensory‑aware
We support seated participation, low-intensity alternatives, sensory-reduced pacing (fewer sudden cues), and clear verbal descriptions. For online delivery, we can share written prompts and provide optional captions depending on platform capabilities. Tell us what helps you feel safe and included.
Do you record sessions? Privacy • consent-first
By default we don’t record. If a recording is requested (common for corporate programs), we only do so with explicit consent and a clear purpose. You can always keep your camera off and use a display name that protects your privacy.
